Olivia GAY

Born in 1973 in Paris, Olivia Gay studies Art History in Bordeaux, France (1993-1995), and photography in Boston, (New England School of Photography, 1995-1997).
In 1998, she starts photographing young prostitutes in Cuba, and receives a special mention at french Prix Kodak de la Critique for her work. Meanwile she starts collaborating with press (Le Monde, Libération, VSD, Paris Match, The New York Times..) and follows on her way within subjects and stories that questionnes the female figure in our society.« The Prostitutes 1998-2002», « The Alive Modeles, 2004-2005 », « The Waitresses, 2000 », « Marie », « The Oriental Dancers, 2005 », « The Cashiers, 2006 », « Workers, 2007-2008 » and « The Religious, 2007-2008».
