Erro Gudmundur, Icelander artist was born in 1932. He lives and works in Paris since 1958. His painting works the whole representations of the century of the image, from political propaganda to the comic strip. One takes of it full the sight, it is the History bombarded in cinemascope. In its Parisian workshop, it ad infinitum recomposes immense fabrics filled with all that the companies of the image have produced for 10 centuries. "I am always with the mounting of images, documentation, reviews, catalogues and dictionaries illustrated. I need some material effective and, during my voyages, I excavate everywhere among remainder buyers of books, in the kiosks. I accumulate an enormous quantity of images, and when I joined together many images referring itself to a topic, it is sign to begin a series. The process then consists in selecting the images, "to marry them", to make them joining each others, then tables. Erro chokes the halucinated glance of the visitor front of the monumental figures of the american comic strips heroes who invade on large fabric galactic space: "I like their blazing drawing, very Art déco. These characters have all disappeared. I carried out a serie of ten tables from three meters out of five which represents fourty years of images accumulated".
