Many Chechen have fled the war from their homeland to Moscow, hoping to find work and security. But since the Nord-Ost crisis, on October 23th 2002, when 800 spectators of a musical were held hostage in a theater by 40 Chechen gunmen, living in the Russian capital has became a nightmare for the Chechen community. The police frequently arrests any Chechen-looking men and do not hesitate to hide out drugs and bullets on them. Police violence has became common and finding work is almost impossible.
