Arlon, a small village in the southern region of Belgium, who had three months of visitors in march 2004 for the Dutroux trial, the most important trial of the last decade. This little village is the media center for this affair. Around 1300 press passes were validated, all the hotels of the region are full. The members of the defense were unwelcome in the hotels, they found rooms requisitioned in military barvacks. A security force is installed around the brand new courthouse. For this trial, two new "studios" were built for broadcasting, each able to seat 200. The trial and its organization cost 4.7 M euros (about 5 M USD) for the Belgian goverment.
